Scott Sharp (born February 14, 1968 in Norwalk, Connecticut) is an American race car driver in the American Le Mans Series. He is the son of six-time SCCA champion Bob Sharp. Sharp is best known for his years as a competitor in the Indy Racing League. Scott also won the American LeMans P1 Championship in 2009 with Patron/Highcroft Racing. Scott spent time with us at NKA before moving on to his professional career, and we wish him continued success in 2014!

Parker Kligerman (born August 8, 1990) is a Westport, CT resident currently competing in the Sprint Cup Series, driving the #30 for Swan Racing. From his humble beginnings at NKA, Kligerman has achieved remarkable results since and has become one of stock car racing’s most promising young talents. Parker has already driven with the Penske organization, Kyle Busch Motorsports, Red Horse Racing, and Swan Racing and is competing for rookie of the Year honors in the Sprint cup Series in 2014. Known to still drop in on the club when his schedule allows, NKA wishes Parker continued success.

Todd Szegedy (born May 6, 1976 in Ridgefield, Connecticut) At the age of 27, became the youngest driver at the time to win the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship in 2003. Todd is the only driver in Tour history to earn Rookie of the Year and the championship in back-to-back seasons. Todd was named the 2007 Most Popular Driver … Ran two races in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2004 … Started racing in 1983 in go-karts and won 11 WKA and IKF championships between 1983 and 1994 … Ran SCCA road races in 1995 and 1996, and won championships both years. Todd still resides in Ridgefield, CT.

Ron Silk (born February 17, 1983) is a Norwalk, CT resident currently racing on the Whelen Modified Tour. With a resume that includes 9 tour wins, and a Whelen Tour Mod Championship in 2011, Ron is one of the premier drivers in that series. Ron also has won three World Karting Association National Championships.

Jerry Nadeau (born September 9, 1970) is a retired race car driver from Danbury, CT. Jerry won the 1992 Skip Barber Scholarship, and has competed at many levels of motorsports. The highlight of Jerry's career was winning the NAPA 500 in 2000. Jerry has amassed 177 starts in the Nascar Sprint Cup Series, with 1 win and 19 top ten finishes.

Randy Lajoie (born August 28, 1961 in Norwalk, CT) Randy began his career in go karts at NKA, and went on to be a two time Nascar Nationwide Series Champion (1996, 1997), with 15 wins and 118 top ten finishes in his 19 year Nationwide Career. Randy is also know for his advances in race car seat technologies (the Joie of Seating), and has concentrated his racing efforts since 2006 on his son's racing career. Dylan Kwasniewski Despite being only 18 years old, Dylan Kwasniewski is one of the youngest and brightest up-and-coming stars in NASCAR. Kwasniewski jumped into the seat of his first kart in Norwalk, Conn. at the age of four. He quickly grabbed his first win and was hooked on racing. After moving up the ranks from go karts to bandolero to legend cars, Kwasniewski began racing in the ASA Speed Truck Series in 2009. In 2010, the young driver started racing a limited late model car and the Lucas Oil / Rockstar Modified Series before making the transition to NASCAR. Dylan was the 2011 K&N Pro series West rookie of the year and 2012 K&N Pro Series West Champion. He currently drives the #31 Nascar Nationwide series car for Turner Scott Motorsports.

Scott Heckert A Ridgefield, CT native and student at Miami University in Ohio, was a quick study and an even faster driver when he first got behind the wheel of a racecar as a youngster. His development as a teenage speedster led him to success in the competitive Skip Barber National and Regional road racing series throughout the country. While Heckert saw a lot of success at a young age on the road racing circuits, he always felt that his future was in the full-bodied stock car ranks. Heckert was the 2012 Bright House Challenge Series Rookie of the Year and scored numerous top-five finishes in some of the toughest Super Late Model races in the country, including a podium finish at SpeedFest 2013 at Georgia’s Watermelon Capital Speedway. After a sucessful season in the K&N Pro Series East in 2015, Scott is currently pursuing a ride in the Pirelli World Challenge in 2016! Good luck, Scott!

Corey Lajoie Corey started his racing career 1996, competing in kart racing events; winning 19 times on both dirt and asphalt tracks. He moved in 2003 to the INEX Bandolero series, scoring twelve wins and winning the series' Summer Shootout Championship. LaJoie began racing Legends cars in 2005, and in 2006 moved to the Aaron's Pro Challenge Series, where he won 10 of 12 races that year. LaJoie, who had been named to the 2012 NASCAR Next class of up-and-coming drivers, entered the 2013 season with only a limited schedule planned, including selected NASCAR Nationwide Series races for Tommy Baldwin Racing, however in June it was announced that he had signed with Richard Petty Motorsports as a development driver, with plans to run in the Nationwide Series later that year. In addition, LaJoie ran a limited schedule in the ARCA Racing Series in the second half of 2013, winning his first start of the year, and second career start, at Chicagoland Speedway in July, and then in his next race at Pocono Raceway in August.
